Yes, Jess Terms of Service
Effective date: October 10, 2026
The short version
By using Yes, Jess, you agree to these Terms. Here is what matters most:
- Cancel any time. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don’t charge again after you cancel.
- One account, one person. Your plans can feed your whole household, but don’t share your login.
- Yes, Jess is AI. It can make mistakes. Always check ingredient labels, especially for allergies. Yes, Jess is not medical or nutrition advice.
- Your data stays yours. We never sell it. See our Privacy Policy.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Yes, Jess (Legal Entity TBD) (“Yes, Jess,” “we,” “us”). They cover the Yes, Jess website, app and related services (the “Service”). You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service. If you don’t agree to these Terms, don’t use the Service.
The Service and AI-generated content
Yes, Jess uses artificial intelligence to create weekly meal plans, recipes and shopping lists based on what you tell it about your household. AI can be wrong, so you are responsible for checking what Yes, Jess suggests before you use it.
- Not medical or nutrition advice. Yes, Jess is a meal-planning tool. It does not provide medical, dietary or nutritional advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, registered dietitian or allergist. Talk to a qualified professional about medical conditions, special diets, pregnancy or a child’s nutrition.
- Allergies and food safety. Yes, Jess tries to respect the allergies and restrictions you share, but it cannot guarantee that any recipe or product is free of an allergen. Always read every ingredient label and cross-contact warning, and follow your own or your child’s allergy plan. Follow safe food-handling and cooking temperatures.
- Estimates only. Cook times, quantities, servings, costs and any nutrition information are estimates and may be inaccurate.
- Changes to the Service. We may add, change or remove features at any time. We will give notice of changes that significantly reduce what you are paying for.
Your account
You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
No account sharing. Each account is for one person. Your meal plans, recipes and shopping lists may be used to cook for your own household, but you may not:
- Share your password, sign-in link or other login details with anyone
- Let anyone else sign in to or use your account, including family members or friends outside your account
- Sell, rent, transfer or give away your account or subscription
- Use one subscription to plan meals for multiple separate households, or resell plans to clients or customers
If we reasonably believe an account is being shared, we may require you to reset your login, limit access, or suspend or close the account. If we close an account for sharing, no refund is due for the current billing period.
Tell us right away at support@chefmealplanner.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Subscriptions, free trial and billing
Yes, Jess is a paid subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
| Plan | Price | Renews |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $12.99 per month | Every month on your billing date |
| Yearly | $129.90 per year | Every year on your billing date |
Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include any applicable taxes.
Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and we charge the plan you chose on the last day of the trial. We will remind you by email before the trial ends. You may receive one free trial per person or household.
Automatic renewal. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor, Stripe, to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may pause your access until it is resolved.
Price changes. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. The new price applies from your next billing period after that notice. If you don’t want to pay the new price, you can cancel before it applies.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any time, and you keep full access until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
How to cancel. Cancel online from your account settings in Yes, Jess, or email support@chefmealplanner.com. You don’t need to call us or give a reason. We will confirm your cancellation by email.
What happens when you cancel:
- Your subscription will not renew, and you will not be charged again.
- You keep full access to Yes, Jess, including your plans and shopping lists, through the last day of your current billing period.
- When that period ends, your access stops. Your account and data are kept for 90 days in case you return, unless you ask us to delete them sooner, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Cancelling during the free trial. If you cancel before your trial ends, you will not be charged.
Refunds. Because you keep access for the rest of the period you paid for, we do not give refunds or credits for partial months or years, for unused time, or for periods when you did not use Yes, Jess. This applies to both monthly and yearly plans. If you were charged in error, such as a duplicate charge or a charge after you cancelled, contact us within 60 days and we will refund it. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
If we end your access. If we discontinue the Service, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period. If we close your account for breaking these Terms, no refund is due.
Acceptable use
Use Yes, Jess only for personal, non-commercial meal planning for your household. You agree not to:
- Share or resell your account, or use it for multiple households (see “Your account”)
- Copy, scrape, resell or republish Yes, Jess’s meal plans or recipes in bulk, or use them to build a competing product
- Use bots, scripts or automated tools to access the Service, except standard browsers and assistive technology
- Try to get around usage limits or security, reverse engineer the Service, or access other users’ data
- Try to make Yes, Jess produce harmful, illegal or abusive content, or misuse the AI in ways that break the law or these Terms

Your content and feedback
You own what you type into Yes, Jess, such as your messages and family details (“Your Content”). You give us permission to store and use Your Content only to run and improve the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. That includes the private and anonymous learning described there.
The meal plans, recipes and lists Yes, Jess creates for you are yours to use for your household. Similar meals may be suggested to other users.
If you send us ideas, ratings or suggestions, we may use them to improve Yes, Jess without owing you anything.
Our property
Yes, Jess’s software, design, name, logo and content (other than Your Content) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service under these Terms. All other rights are reserved.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any meal plan, recipe or AI response will be accurate, safe for your household, or free of allergens.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, YES, JESS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, from claims caused by your breaking these Terms or misusing the Service.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Yes, Jess and cancel at any time (see “Cancellation and refunds”). We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, including by sharing your account, if your payment fails, or if we must do so by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability, continue after your account ends.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem informally. If we can’t, any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Rockwall County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Yes, Jess after that date, the new Terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before then.
Other terms
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Yes, Jess about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a right right away, we don’t give it up. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of our business.
